About the College
The School of Nursing, Burrow Memorial Christian Hospital is one of the oldest nursing schools in Northeast India, operational since 1953. It is attached to the Burrow Memorial Christian Hospital, which was established in 1935 by Dr. Crozier to serve the marginalized people of Assam. The hospital and its nursing school are units of the Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA) and are a charitable, Christian-affiliated institution. The Government of India has also declared the School of Nursing as a Minority Educational Institution under section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004.
